WHAT I SAW III: BARCELONA VS REAL MADRID SUPER COPA 2ND LEG

The Super Copa started with a 2-2 thriller at Santiago Bernabeu with Madrid turning out to be a better team and Messi turning out to be a best player. And it ended with a frustrated tackle by Marcelo on Barcelona prodigal son Fabregas followed by a disturbing brawl between the club. Hence the El Clasico which could have been remembered for the class and goals shall now be remembered for brutal brawl ending Super Cupa.

1. We Have Walked A Long Way:

From a drubbing of 5-0 at Camp Nou to 5-4 finish over the two legs, from 4-2-3-1 to tactically sound 4-2-1-3, from Benzema the pet cat to Benzema the roaring cat and from an incomplete squad to a perfectly balanced squad, there are few of the points which are evidence to what Real Madrid has achieved in the past one year. We might have lost last night but it was just a trailer to the red carpet premier for the coming season.

2. The Bitter Ending:

Over the two legs of the Super Copa we have seen theBarcelonaand Real Madrid players give their heart out for each pass, each play, each goal, each tactical play and hence injected fear in the hearts of other European clubs. But the brawl at the end of the second leg has in some way taken the shine away from the El Clasico. It is said everything is well if it ends well but I am not to sure 2years or 5 years down the line would people remember the Super Copa to be a 9 goal extravaganza or for the brutal brawl at the end of the match.

3. Foul Play:

I am shocked and disappointed with two incidents that happened during the brawl, first being the slapping of Ozil by Villa which even if someone points a gun towards me I wouldn’t agree it was just the slap which made Ozil getting so angry. I am saying this because in theMadridside Ozil is one of the few guys who has a cool head on his shoulders. Second being I don’t know what it was may be pulling of the ear or an eye poke done by Mourinho on the Assistant Coach ofBarcelona, whatever be the intention I feel it’s really not acceptable. Frankly hope these two cases are investigated and correct decision must be taken.

4. Laser & Racism Show:

Di Maria goes down and his jersey is covered with green and blue lasers as if he is a target of the snipers sitting on the roof ofCampNou. I really fail to understand what sadist pleasure to the Cules get from this and frankly speaking I have never witnessed this at any other ground. Bad situation turns worse when Marcelo comes on after the HT and he is welcomed by booing and monkey chants and this goes on till he is given his marching order at the end of the match. What were the Barcelona supporters trying to prove that they know ‘how a monkey looks like’ for god sake grow up a 2or 3 years old kid does these kind of things and when you do it now in simple word its called ‘RACISM’.

5. Forget The IceBath:

This one is on a personal note: After such heated up ending to the two legged El Clasico I hope the back room staff must have said “screw you guys no ice bath only head cooling session for you all”. I am happy next these two sides are going to meet not till the end of the year and that might also get postponed due to the strike by PFA because frankly speaking things really need to cool down.

6. Random sight:

  • Fabregas had not won anything with Arsenal in I think for past 5-6 season and he wins a medal in his first match.
  • Mourinho needs to find a way to stop Messi I feel he can dribble even with one leg.
  • One of theBarcelonaplayers has been nominated for Oscars for his role as an lead Actor. ( hope every knows who am I talking about)
  • Like really every player every staff every fan needs to understand you are not bigger than the beautiful game of football.
  • Pinto just might be offered the part time job of a Bouncer in the Catalan side.
  • Come give some time to Coentrao don’t just throw him in Marcelo position specially the mindset Marcelo and Ronaldo shared is something which cant be achieved right away.

Love goes missing:

REAL MADRID THE CLUB OF MADRIDISTAS

I am a Real Madrid fan and people ask why Madrid and not Man U Barcelona or AC Milan and I say nothing and just smile so here I am giving my brain some peace and my heart some love by replying to all those beautiful people who asked me why Madrid??

Am I a Blancos fan because we are the best European team with nine Champions League title to our name, which included five consecutive titles. OR is it because we always have the most expensive team line-ups. OR is it because we have Di Stefano’s name engraved on each and every brick of Santiago Bernabeu. OR is it because we brought fashion to the green turf with an all white kit in the early nineties. OR is it because when you think of Real the faces that start flashing in my head are of Stefano, Butragueno, Manuel Sanchis, Rafael Martin Vasquez, Miguel Pardeza, Hugo Sanchez, Zidane, Roberto Carlos, Hierro, Salgado, Raul, Casillas, Ronaldo, Figo, Beckham, Morientes, Van Nistelrooy, Ramos, Pepe, CR7, Ozil, Kaka, Di Maria, Joselu, Jesus, Morata, Sarabia and the never ending Galacticos. Now looking at other side of the coin do I follow Real cause even though we have the brightest or if I can say whitest bright history, in the past 6-7 seasons we have been nothing but just a name a brand and I want to see the old Blancos back?? Or is it cause I am tired of the politics within the club and want the brutal and almost killing news of Del Bosque been sacked removed from my head?? I say I am a Blancos follower cause I BELIEVE. I am a Real Madrid follower cause this is the club which comes to my mind when I think about the most beautiful and magical game in the world. And with this belief and trust comes both side of the coin which I just talked about which gives both immense pleasure & satisfaction and also immense pain & sadness.

And this season again I know we are not the Tiki-Taka maestros or we don’t have the backing of crazy but filthy rich oil tycoon or we don’t have a knighted manager on the sidelines but one thing we surely are and have been in the dry and lacklustre recent seasons is that we are a unit and I am sure this season again all the Madridistas around the world are again going to dream to bring the silverware home and give their 110% support to “the most magical club in the world” i.e. Real Madrid. And on a personal note I do believe we have the team this season to relieve those dreams again which saw Hugo Sanchez scoring goals at will, which saw Di Stefano being the most decorated footballer in the world which saw Zinedine Zidane walking all around Bernabeu with tears of joy in eye and a bottle of champagne in hand.

Many say we are only European glory hungry that is why we keep buying very expensive players and don’t care about our youth. Totally disagree we do have a good youth system may be not as good as La Masia or the Arsenal Football Club academy. And excuse me but don’t make stupid comments that Los Merengues don’t care about La Liga we still are the most successful team in Spain with 31 league titles. Surely agree we have strayed away from our path but we are coming back and when we do my words won’t hold any importance because action speaks louder than word.
So this is to all the Blancos fan all around the world keep the BELIEF TRUST & RESPECT for REAL MADRID stronger than ever cause those 11 players in White kit with gold stripes on the green turf deserve that.
And a well made video by Galaktyczny1990 for all the Madrididistas do check it out:
